A Tonga man, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula, from Bweengwa selflessly gave way to a Bemba man, Kenneth Kaunda from Chinsali, to lead Zambia. He put the nation before tribe, personal ambition and position.
So, why can’t l, a Bemba from Chinsali give a chance to a Tonga HH who is from Bweengwa?
It’s time to reciprocate in the spirit of national unity.
On Day 4 of mobilising support for President Hakainde Hichilema, we have continued engaging grassroots voters and mobilisers in Chinsali, reminding our people that Zambia must always come before tribe.
If Nkumbula could put Zambia before his tribe, what should stop us from supporting H.H. simply because he is Tonga?
I say this because some people have been coming to speak to you, by transferring their hatred for H.H. to you, encouraging you to focus on his tribe instead of his capabilities and achievements.
Let us be honest: do not vote for H.H. because he is Tonga, but do not reject him because he is Tonga. Judge him by his record.
He has brought free education, restructured debt, CDF, and much-needed roads connecting Chinsali and surrounding communities in the pipeline.
So ask yourself: Why vote out a leader because of his tribe when you can judge him by what he has delivered?
And then, vote for who? Who will do what?
