A wig or not? White House Forced to Explain Trump’s Suddenly Fluffy New Hair

Trump’s hair got noticeably bigger this week, and even his own team couldn’t keep a straight face about it.

At an event at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Trump showed up with hair that looked brighter and far more voluminous than his usual style, immediately sparking a wave of online speculation about wigs, extensions, or some kind of last minute touch up

.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tried to explain it away, telling reporters that “lighting is everything” and blaming the casino’s LED setup for the dramatic change. Senior aides reportedly got a kick out of the whole thing themselves.

It’s not the first time Trump’s hair has made headlines. His former physician once confirmed he took a hair loss medication, and Trump has spent years obsessing over camera angles and lighting, once accusing Time magazine of using a photo that “disappeared” his hair. He’s even complained that federal water pressure standards make it harder to wash his “beautiful hair.”

For a man who has called his hair a “work of art,” it turns out even he needs a very specific kind of spotlight to pull it off.
