ACTIONAID ZAMBIA SAYS THERE IS NO BASIS TO CONCLUDE OPPOSITION CANNOT WIN POLLS FOR NOT FIELDING CANDIDATES IN 72 CONSTITUENCIES

ActionAid Zambia Country Director Faides Tembatemba says there is no basis to conclude that the opposition cannot win the 2026 general elections simply because it has not fielded candidates in some constituencies.
Her remarks come in response to assertions that the opposition is unlikely to secure victory after failing to field candidates in 72 constituencies ahead of next month’s election.
Speaking to Phoenix News in an interview, Ms. Tembatemba said it is merely an assumption to suggest that any political party is guaranteed victory without first knowing the will of the electorate, stressing that citizens have the constitutional right to vote for candidates of their choice.
Ms. Tembatemba further noted that the opposition has faced a number of challenges during the electoral process that may have placed it at a disadvantage.
She has cited factors such as constituency delimitation, increased nomination fees, and the nomination process itself as some of the challenges that may have affected the opposition’s ability to field candidates in all constituencies.

One can’t claim to have bathed if he just washes his his head up to the waist.The reasoning is here:-
1. The candidates you adopt will campaign for their Presidential candidates in the wards, constituencies district in the province and the whole nation.
2.Exclussion of some candidates in some provinces may show dislike or neglect.
3.It will attract reaction from the people or voters of those regions and vote of no confidence shall arise.
4.Absconding or non availability means non existing.Simply not there and no votes.
5. You have shown that you can’t govern a country with less office bearers.
6.You will not develop those regions you have neglected hence no votes, you don’t care.
7.Your impression of regionalism you have signaled shows you don’t deserve votes you have no leadership capabilities
8.Failure to feature candidates in those positions shows you don’t have people to work for your government and you will fail and no votes as you are deemed impotent.
9.You could be broke you are fund less meaning you may plunder resources, you can’t be given votes.
10. You are unreliable, irresponsible, untrustworthy, bankrupt and liability no votes from the electorates.
* Therefore with these 10 points you can’t win an election where you must attain 50 percent+ 1 and you are aware that the registered voters about 8.7 million, the regions you have neglected have about 3 million registered voters.You are also aware that your opponent is obviously getting huge number of votes from where you neglected and all over the country.Your opponent may just need few votes to add to your neglected areas to get 50 percent plus one and he is declared winer with land slide victory.WITH AUDIBLE MUSIC OF TRIUMPH ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.
