“ADDRESS THE NATION!” -BRIAN MUNDUBILE CHALLENGES PRESIDENT HH OVER ALLEGED CORRUPTION FRA AND FARMERS’ PLIGHT

Brian Mundubile has challenged President Hakainde Hichilema to address the nation over allegations of large-scale theft of public funds, accusing his administration of remaining silent while ordinary Zambians continue to struggle.
Addressing a campaign rally in Twapia, Copperbelt Province, Pres. Mundubile questioned why the Head of State had not personally spoken to the nation regarding allegations involving billions of kwacha in public funds.
“Address the nation and explain to the Zambian people why you have remained quiet while Zambian money has been plundered,”
He said farmers have gone without payment for their produce, while many others have failed to receive farming inputs on time, leaving thousands of families facing hardship.
Pres. Mundubile also questioned what he described as unequal treatment in the fight against corruption, noting that some citizens have been incarcerated over relatively small amounts while allegations involving much larger sums have yet to receive a public explanation.
Referring to allegations concerning public funds, including those linked to the Drug Reserve Agency, Mundubile called on President Hichilema to account directly to the Zambian people.
“Mr. President, address the nation and explain why our people should continue to suffer while allegations of billions of kwacha being stolen remain unanswered,” he said.
The incoming President said Zambians deserve transparency, accountability and leadership that protects public resources, arguing that confidence in government can only be restored when the law is applied fairly and those responsible for wrongdoing are held accountable.
His remarks reinforced the Tonse Alliance’s campaign message of restoring accountability, supporting farmers, tackling the rising cost of living and rebuilding public trust ahead of the August general election.
Address the nation on a rumour from Emmanuel Mwamba? Please be serious, your rule would be a disaster, fortunately do not see you nor wish you being president. Mundubile why do we have government institutions? Think kind of thinking demonstrates that you dont understand what it means to lead. In management you delegate. In the state curtain functions are delegated to institutions so that experts in the field can perform the function. Government is not your “tin pot” kantemba. It runs cause functions are delegated.
Let investigative wings do their job. Mwamba or Global fimo fimo didnt report the matter to the Police. We dont know who what or when aside from the innuendo set out and a response from the person said to have owed FRA the money.
Owing someone is not a criminal matter until ots established that there was malicious intent not to pay. From what we see (and am not a lawyer) is a civil matter where one party is pursuing what they are owed. Do we even other details to this issue that may exist in a contract between the said parties? No. So you now force us to speculate.
Now as Head of State, you want the man to start getting involved in an issue where the facts so far made avail have been denied and reported to the Police? If so this explains the calibre of leader you are and the manner you would take the nation if at all you won the coming elections.
When HH speaks of you as boys…this is exactly what it points to. A lack of objective outlook and discourse.
