Alebwelelapo Hakainde — declares UNZASU president, Mwanto
UNZASU president Kabaso Mwanto, popularly known among fellow students as “Sure Sure”, yesterday led scores of University of Zambia—UNZA students in singing songs in praise of President Hakainde Hichilema, thanking the Head of State for what he described as the restoration of sanitation at the Great East Road campus.
Mwanto also publicly endorsed President Hichilema’s candidature ahead of the August 13 General Election.
Addressing scores of UNZA students who marched to State House to lobby for an increase in accommodation allowances and to thank the President for restoring sanitation at the university, Mwanto declared, “Ni Hakainde Kwasila.”
He thanked the Head of State for what he said were improvements at the institution and in the country.
“For the sanitation at the University of Zambia, we say thank you. For curbing cadreism, we say thank you. For the development [in our country], we say thank you. For the meal allowances, we say thank you,” Mwanto said.
The student leader went on to describe UNZA as “a paradise on earth.”
“Ba Monk, ba Moma, apa ni Hakainde kwasila. The University of Zambia is a paradise on earth. Water was not flowing but, as I talk to you today, water is flowing,” Mwanto remarked before publicly endorsing President Hichilema’s candidature for the August 13 General Election.
As he concluded his address, Mwanto led the students in singing praises for President Hichilema, chanting: “Ni Hakainde ewasala Jehovah, alebwelelapo, alebwelelapo Hakainde nafuti.”
