AMOS MWALE Elected UNZASU President

AMOS MWALE, also known as MULLA ONE, has been elected University of Zambia Students Union –UNZASU- President.
Mr. MWALE polled 3,345 votes, beating his closest rival, JOSEPH MTONGA, who received 441 votes.
Mr. MWALE succeeds MWANTO KABASO.
Announcing the results, UNZASU Electoral Commission Chairperson WEBBY MWAPE declared Mr. MWALE duly elected UNZASU President.
Mr. MWAPE said LAWRENCE KAMUSEMBE finished third with 294 votes, while DIAMOND MPAPWA polled 35 votes.
Meanwhile, Mr. MWALE told ZNBC News in an interview that his work will begin immediately, with a focus on implementing his campaign promises to fellow students.
He said his administration will work closely with the Government to find solutions to the challenges affecting students.
And newly elected UNZASU Secretary General PHILLIMON PHIRI said there will be no segregation under the new leadership, as every UNZA student belongs to one family.
