BREAKING: Andrew and Tristan Tate Arrested in Miami as UK Seeks Extradition on Rape and Trafficking Charges
Accountability just came for Andrew and Tristan Tate.
The influencer brothers were arrested by federal authorities in Miami on Saturday, the U.S. Marshals Service confirmed to the Associated Press, and hours later British prosecutors announced they are seeking the brothers’ extradition on rape and sex trafficking charges.
The UK’s Crown Prosecution Service says the alleged offenses occurred between July 2010 and August 2017, in an area north of London where the brothers grew up. The arrest warrant itself remains sealed, but the message could not be louder: the two men who built an empire teaching millions of young men that women exist to be dominated are now in federal custody.
For years, the Tates seemed to slip through every net. They were arrested in Romania in 2022, accused of participating in schemes to lure women for sexual exploitation, only for that case to stall over legal and procedural irregularities. They relocated, they kept posting, they kept cashing in, and they kept telling their army of followers, many of them boys, that the accusations were proof of their persecution rather than a reckoning waiting to happen.
That reckoning may have finally arrived, and it happened on American soil. The dual U.S. and British citizens were welcomed into MAGA-friendly circles after arriving in the States, feted at events and defended by right-wing influencers who treated their misogyny as a brand instead of a warning. None of that protected them Saturday.
The women who came forward against the Tates have waited over a decade for their allegations to be heard in a courtroom. The brothers deny everything, and they will get the due process their accusers say they were never afforded dignity in. But the days of untouchability are over.
