ANNOUNCING OF RESULTS IN KALULUSHI TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED OVER DISCREPANCIES
The announcement of election results in Kalulushi on the Copperbelt has been temporarily suspended after stakeholders raised concerns over discrepancies in some of the figures being presented.
District Returning Officer Dr. Joseph Longwani told stakeholders that polling staff had worked throughout yesterday and into the night, a situation he said may have affected their concentration when compiling and entering the figures.
Dr. Longwani said the suspension will allow electoral officials to verify and reconcile the disputed figures before the announcement of results resumes.
