BREAKING: Anthony Scaramucci Says Trump Buys His Orange Makeup From a Bronx Supply Shop and Looks Like “an Open Can of Spam” Without It
Trump’s own former communications director just blew up the biggest open secret in American politics: the tan is not a tan.
Anthony Scaramucci, who lasted exactly 11 days in Trump’s first administration before an ugly falling out, told The Times of London that his mother, an old-school Italian makeup artist, cannot stand what Trump does to his face every morning.
“It’s like an orange bronzer he buys from a supply shop in the Bronx,” Scaramucci said. “He looks like an open can of Spam without makeup.”
Asked point blank whether that meant he’d seen Trump bare-faced, Scaramucci didn’t blink.
“Oh, yeah. He puts it on in the morning. Sometimes he reapplies it at night. It’s a tanner. He thinks it looks fantastic, by the way.”
This tracks with a 2019 Washington Post report in which Trump’s own household staff described his daily beauty regimen in loving detail. Two and a half bottles of a Swiss face makeup called Bronx Colors, prepped and ready every single day. A housekeeper required to smear the liquid makeup on her own hand each morning just to check it hadn’t dried out overnight.
Former press secretary Stephanie Grisham piled on in her memoir, writing that Trump does his own makeup “as if he were going to be appearing on a TV show,” and that he also cuts his own hair with what she described as giant scissors.
