Tribalism and politics
I never discuss issues to do with corruption fight in Zambia because the issue can be subjective and without facts as a civilian it becomes difficult to engage and accuse others.
Secondly I have never engaged in topics that surround tribalism. Having spent most of my youth outside the country and knowing how other races don’t see a difference between Africans, I think tribalism is foolish and stupid. In the past, politicians have used that to push numbers for their parties and propaganda around tribe normally resurfaces around election period.
I am saddened with Mukoka’s posting where he wants to depict Tongas as tribalist. I have heard this nonsense for a long time and am now tired!
If you want to win elections against Upnd there are a lot of ways of doing this without dragging Tongas into this. I personally know Hon Mundubile and am sure he does not subscribe to this notion so don’t depict his movement as a tribal movement. I also know President HH and he had to learn Bemba and other tribes just to prove that he is not tribalist!
Augustine Mukoka is practicing hate speech and putting one tribe against others for political purposes! This is a crime in Zambia! We should not allow such to happen! I think we are tired of this nonsense!
I have grown up amongst other tribes and Bemba is the most fluent Zambian language I speak. To a level in official meetings, I break into Bemba!
Zambians should reject this nonsense! There exist a lot of ways to win elections but not hate speech! Don’t plunge our nation into genocide! Law enforcement agencies should take note of such things!
I don’t subscribe to tribal nonsense! It’s archaic and barbaric!!!
