Ba civil servant mulibantu basuma, I’m not threatening you, clarifies Mundubile

NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile says his remarks directed at civil servants should not be interpreted as threats, insisting that he holds them in high regard and recognises their professionalism.

Speaking during a campaign engagement, Mundubile said civil servants are “good people” and noted that many of those he previously worked with remain in public service.

He, however, cautioned civil servants that as the August 13 general elections draw closer, they may begin receiving what he described as illegal instructions from politicians in government.

Mundubile urged them not to comply with any directives aimed at manipulating the electoral process, saying they should reject any attempts to involve them in election rigging.

“Civil servants are good people. I have worked with you before, and some of you are still in the civil service,” said Mundubile.

  1. Mr. Mundubile will get rid of you anyway, to create room for his party cadres.

So his was not a threat. It is a foretaste of what is to come.

  2. He had no choice and had to come out, because that was the only way they knew how to run the country on autopilot. Let those who want to loot operate freely and give the cadres free wheel and release them to do whatever they want to do. That was the reason he had said in the very beginning that he was going to govern like Lungu. It was not a mistake.
