BA TONSE’S FASCINATION WITH WITCHCRAFT IS SHOCKING!
First and foremost, we wish to castigate and condemn in the highest order those cadres… nay, thugs that assaulted and floored Davies Mwila, the former Secretary General of PF, at the Supreme Court!
No matter how provocative and injurious Mwila’s utterances were, those thugs shouldn’t have reduced the very citadel of dispensation of justice in our country to a boxing ring. That was indiscipline of the worst order. Hasn’t the President always warned that when you engage in acts of violence, you are on your own?
Anyway, we now come to Mwila’s reaction after the kerfuffle because this has somehow captured our attention for obvious reasons.
“I’m giving those who attacked me 30 days to apologise and report themselves to the police,” he reiterated after reporting the matter at Longacres Police Post.
Now if the alleged culprits do not apologise, does it mean some form of a medium — ilomba — is going to hunt them down and swallow them?
Ilyo lwashi lyamukachasu (cheap talk!) We thought Ba Tonse were allergic to witchcraft accusations, now they are issuing deadlines like witchdoctors issuing curses.
Shockingly, when Mwila featured on Capital FM, Mumbi Phiri — a senior Tonse member — phoned in to warn that Mwila “is not a simple person to touch.” She even offered to escort his attackers to go and apologise to him!
What is Ba Tonse’s fascination with witchcraft? Why is it in their every conversation?
Look at how excited they get when fugitive Jay Jay Banda starts talking about non-existent shrines and eating placentas. Some even foolishly claim the State extracted body parts from Lungu’s corpse!

Witchcraft does NOT exist. It only exists in our minds! As the President Hichilema said when he was in the UAE recently, this is something which we shouldn’t even fear!
If it really worked, why can’t we rob banks using witchcraft? Why has no African team ever won the World Cup by using juju to blindfold opponents?
