So, Barcelona chose to sign Karim Adeyemi for €29 million instead of Marcus Rashford, even though Rashford is available for around €30 million.

They could’ve gotten Rashford for almost the same amount of money, and he was even willing to reduce his wages to join Barcelona.

Yet they still decided not to trigger the option to buy him. To me, that proves they don’t rate Rashford that highly, even though he recorded about 25 goal contributions in relatively few starts.

The same thing happened with Aston Villa, who also decided not to sign him permanently after his loan spell.

People will say Barcelona didn’t sign him because of his wages, but they still spent €80 million on Antony Gordon. They could’ve used €30 million to sign Rashford and used the remaining money to cover his wages for years.

At this point, we might as well keep Rashford because Barcelona obviously don’t want him. I would hate for United to sell him to a rival.

I think everything is pointing towards Rashford staying at Manchester United.
