The legendary American investor, who built one of the world’s largest fortunes through Berkshire Hathaway, has long been famous for his rather unconventional diet.
But a recent story shared by fellow billionaire Bill Ackman has taken that reputation to another level!
Ackman recalled inviting Buffett to his home for dinner several years ago and making sure he had plenty of Cherry Coke available, knowing it was his favourite drink.
However, when he offered Buffett a choice between still or sparkling water, the investor declined both!
Instead, he asked for Cherry Coke.
Curious about his unusual preference, Ackman asked whether he ever drank water.
And Buffett’s reported response was absolutely priceless!
“Bill, I haven’t had water in 48 years.”
But perhaps the most surprising part is that Buffett’s love of fizzy drinks has been well documented for decades!
In 2015, he revealed that he regularly consumed at least five 12-ounce servings of Coca-Cola every day.
He’s also famously fond of McDonald’s, hamburgers, sweets and ice cream, despite being one of the world’s most successful investors.
