Bishop Imakando Prays Zambia’s Vote Will Prevail as he Preaches on” The God of New Mercies.
Lusaka, Zambia-Bread of Life Church International General Overseer, Bishop Joseph Imakando, has prayed that the will of the Zambian people will prevail in the general election slated for 13th August 2026, saying the choices made by citizens’ should be reflected in the final results.
Bishop Imakando made the remarks during a prayer before preaching at the Church Headquarters in Lusaka on 26th August 2026, where he delivered the message tilted ” The God of New Mercies.”
In the sermon, he encouraged the congregation to keep their eyes on God despite challenges, emphasizing that everyday holds new mercies.He urged believers to release their faith and place hope in Gods mercy, warning against despair and advising against, suicide, divorce, and theft.
Drawing from lamentations 3:23 and other scriptures including Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalm 52:8, Bishop Imakando stressed that it is not over for anyone facing a difficult season, because day break will come.He also instructed members to emulate David, highlighting that David’s strength was his deep knowledge of God.
The service ended with a renewed call for hope, perseverance, and trust in God’s provision.
