Mundubile, Makebi flee to UN agency for refuge

NRPUP leader Brian Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu have gone into self-imposed exile at the United Nations agency in Lusaka fearing arrests in connection with a militia group.
Impeccable sources within Cabinet office have told News Diggers that Mundubile and Zulu went to seek asylum at the UN agency.
Koswe COMMENT: What about the followers? Bane! Only the guilt scamper but if they didn’t commit any offence, they should not abandon the people who they sent for military training at this hour.
We actually don’t think that they are hiding at the UN Agency. They could be in Alick Banda’s house.
Anyway, this night will be longer than usual for some people especially those who used to shout that “ICHINTINYA NSHILYA INE HH BOI”. Actually it will be a long 5 years.

Brian Mundubile’s recent statements to the media are concerning, particularly where they appear to present claims that have not been substantiated. Public figures must exercise responsibility and restraint, especially when addressing matters that could potentially heighten tensions or contribute to public disorder.
Following his declaration that he was leading countrywide, there were reports of individuals taking to the streets, creating a situation that had the potential to cause disturbances. However, claims that soldiers invaded his residence or that shootings took place there should be treated with caution unless supported by credible and independently verifiable evidence. All public figures need to establish and communicate the facts accurately, particularly when speaking to the foreign media.
At a time when the country needs calm, unity, and responsible leadership, political leaders should avoid statements that could inflame tensions, create unnecessary fear, or mislead the public. Political differences should be addressed through dialogue, evidence, and lawful democratic processes rather than unsubstantiated accusations.
Politicians and other public figures should also be held accountable for deliberately presenting false or misleading information, particularly when such statements have the potential to undermine public confidence or disturb the peace. Where there is credible evidence of wrongdoing, the appropriate authorities should investigate the matter and apply the law fairly and impartially.
It would therefore be more constructive for Mr. Mundubile to provide verifiable information, exercise restraint, and encourage calm and stability rather than contribute to uncertainty and heightened political tensions. Accountability should apply to everyone, regardless of political affiliation or position.
The guilty always run and eventually get found. Better for BM & MZ to stay with LUNGU is SA.

I see this party to be deregistered according to Zambian law.
Are there living quarters at the UN office complex in Lusaka? Secondly the UN is not a state with its own jurisdiction and right to offer asylum. In Zambia, only the Zambian state can grant asylum and then the UN agency responsible for refugees can accept the person granted that status to live in its refugee camps.
