Britain Authorizes Release of Classified SCALP Missile Data to Ukraine

Britain has authorized European missile manufacturer MBDA to release classified information on British-made components used in the SCALP long-range cruise missile.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is expected to announce the decision during his visit to Kyiv, with the transfer intended to help France and Ukraine advance plans to establish SCALP assembly lines inside Ukraine.

The move does not represent an immediate missile delivery or the release of the weapon’s complete design.

Instead, it marks a significant technology transfer that could eventually strengthen Ukraine’s domestic long-range strike capabilities and reduce its reliance on limited foreign missile stockpiles.
