BURKINA FASO UNVEILS LOCALLY PRODUCED ARMOURED VEHICLES

Burkina Faso has reportedly unveiled armoured vehicles produced domestically, as the country moves to strengthen its own defence-industrial capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign military equipment.

During the inauguration of a lecture hall at Nazi-Boni University, Captain Ibrahim Traoré said Burkina Faso is now producing its own armoured vehicles and is working toward the domestic manufacture of weapons and other military equipment.

The development reflects the government’s broader push to build local industrial capacity, support domestic defence production and increase the country’s self-reliance in military equipment.
