CDF GEN MUHOOZI SPARKS FAMILY DRAMA, VOWS TO ‘RECLAIM’ HIS SISTER FROM ALLEGED ‘HOOLIGAN’
Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces and son of President Yoweri Museveni, has stirred fresh controversy after declaring that he will “reclaim” his sister from a person he described as a “hooligan” who allegedly infiltrated the Museveni family.
Although Muhoozi did not mention the person by name, his remarks have sparked widespread speculation online, with many linking the statement to Odrek Rwabwogo, the husband of Muhoozi’s sister, Patience Museveni Rwabwogo.
The latest remarks come just days after Muhoozi publicly congratulated Patience on her consecration as a bishop on August 25, pledging to always protect her.
The CDF’s relationship with his brother-in-law has recently appeared to come under public scrutiny after a series of posts in which Muhoozi branded the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID), chaired by Rwabwogo, an “illegal organisation.”
Muhoozi also threatened arrests over alleged corruption linked to the organisation, while his personal assistant, Matthew Bagonza, was reportedly arrested amid the unfolding controversy.
Known for his outspoken and often controversial posts on X, Muhoozi frequently mixes family matters with political and public commentary. In the past, he has also publicly referenced his sisters, including Natasha and Diana Museveni.
With his latest statement, attention has once again shifted to the growing tension surrounding Uganda’s most powerful family.
The big question now is: Who exactly is the “hooligan” Muhoozi says infiltrated his family and what does he mean by “reclaiming” his sister?
I am afraid Uganda is headed for dark times when this charlatan becomes President. I say when, not if, because he has the father’s backing.
