Charity Lumpa of the Resolute Party wins as BJ congratulates her.

He wrote:

To the people of Lusaka Central,

From my campaign team, my family, and indeed from the bottom of my heart, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for giving us the opportunity to participate in this election and for the votes you entrusted to us.
To everyone who voted for us thank you. Your confidence, support, encouragement, and belief in our vision will forever be appreciated.

To those who doubted us or chose differently, we are equally grateful. You have taught us valuable lessons, reminded us of the work that remains to be done, and challenged us to do better. In democracy, every vote speaks, and every outcome is an opportunity to learn.

I would also like to sincerely congratulate Hon . Charity Lumpa on her victory and wish her every success in serving the people of Lusaka Central. I extend my appreciation to all the other parliamentary candidates, councillors, mayoral candidates, and presidential candidates who participated in this democratic process.

This is not the time for bitterness or continued politicking. It is time for service.
The people have spoken, and we must respect their decision. Let us now support the Member of Parliament, the Mayor, councillors, and all other newly elected office bearers so that, together, we can contribute to meaningful development in Lusaka Central and Zambia at large.

The election may be over, but our love for Lusaka Central and our desire to see our communities develop must continue.
