China and Egypt Call for Full Gaza Ceasefire and Independent Palestinian State
Following a meeting in Cairo between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, China and Egypt jointly called for the immediate implementation of a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The two countries also reaffirmed their support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Beijing and Cairo further made clear their opposition to any attempt to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their land, stressing that such a move is unacceptable.
The joint position highlights the growing diplomatic coordination between China and Egypt on the Palestinian issue, with both governments calling for an end to the fighting and a political solution based on the two-state framework.
