China Warns Trump Over Potential New Arms Sales to Taiwan

China has reportedly warned the Trump administration that it could cancel the planned September 24 summit between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping if Washington approves new arms sales to Taiwan ahead of the meeting.

Beijing considers Taiwan a major “red line” in China–U.S. relations and has repeatedly opposed American arms transfers to the island.

The potential dispute comes as Washington also pressures Beijing over its economic ties with Iran, adding further strain to bilateral relations.

⚠️ Taiwan remains one of the most sensitive issues between the world’s two largest economies.
