Commercial Vessel Hit Near Strait of Hormuz, Leaving One Dead and Three Injured
A commercial vessel was struck near Qeshm and Hengam islands in the Strait of Hormuz at around 5:00 a.m. local time on Sunday, September 13, leaving one person dead and three others injured, according to Iranian authorities.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) also reported that a vessel was hit by a projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in a fire and the evacuation of its crew. The type of projectile and the identity of those responsible have not been independently confirmed.
