COPPERBELT A NO GO AREA FOR UPND, VOWS NKANA, POWER DYNAMOS FANS.
Nkana Football Club and Power Dynamos fans today began chanting the “Pe Lampi” slogan associated with Brian Mundubile at Arthur Davies Stadium.
The fans were heard chanting the slogan as Power Dynamos celebrated a 1-0 victory over Nchanga Rangers, with some declaring that the Copperbelt is now a no go area for the UPND.
The fans also indicated that they would use football as a platform to push a narrative against the UPND government and call for the release of their leaders, Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu.
According to sources, the UPND government had banned the chanting of political slogans during football matches across the country.
Mulenga Mwenya posted on Facebook, as monitored by Zambian Watch: “No sooner had the government warned Nkana fans against chanting ‘Pe Lempi’ the slogan associated with Mundubile and Makebi than Power Dynamos fans responded by chanting ‘PE LAMPI!!!’ following their 1-0 win over Nchanga Rangers at Arthur Davies Stadium,” he stated.

They do not know what they are doing!Clueless Mundubile as president, illiterate people are so gullible, nowonder they listen to people like JJ they want a president who will hand out ubunga, sugar, cooking oil and money .ubupuba
That is democracy and freedom of association. Let them express themselves. UPND has become so unpopular because you guys think you’re the only literate ones!
Yes, they are free to express themselves but declaring an area a no go zone for another person is anarchy. It has nothing to do with freedom.of expression.
Who leads the nation is decided peacefully through the ballot not through “amaka” and imposing one’s preference on others.
Am not UPND,I will never join a political party.I just vote.PF had a very bad mentality, they are the ones who loved using amaka, beating up anyone in red.Hating anyone speaking Tonga…I DO NOT WANT THAT BACK.
Very dull people and lazy all the time want thimgs on silver plate .
Doing wrong things or doing things wrongly is wrong, it can’t solve anything. Do those fans know what their leaders did in order for them to be arrested? And before they appear in Court, they are demanding for their release? We don’t want confusion in the country, cases go through the Court process and if Mundubile and Makebi will be proven innocent, they will be released, where is the problem? And what has happened to the Mundubiles has happened to others before:, how many days was Mumbi Phiri held? How any days was HH held? Judiciary has a process and that process has to be followed.
And you should stop misleading people, there is no way some few fans or hooligans can declare CB as a no go area for UPND. Who gave them that right? Do they own Copperbelt? Don’t they know that UPND is the ruling party for the whole Zambia and no one can stop the ruling party to go to any party or corner of this country. Those saying so are just hallucinating, even if they have been paid, it’s better to eat their money quietly.
“NO GO AREA”!!?…..?Kuli banoko!!Stupid idiots!!
Foolishness of the waste kind “bu fontini” How can you take politics to football. How about if the other party reacts? That is anarchy.Think before you do foolish acts that can cause danger to fans in the stadium. It is the duty of all football teams to show dislike to such acts which are dangerous.
Am sure FAZ should intervene before action is taken by FIFA, sport is not for politics,,,,, supporters could be barred from games and then the clubs do not generate revenue, it’s happened in Europe
Let the committees of the respective clubs guide their supporters
