Judgment in the Ndola Central election petition has been set for 27th November 2026, after the High Court heard that 69 of the 74 Gen 20 Forms tallied with the Records of Proceedings.

Ndola Central MP Emmanuel Mulenga disclosed this before Judge Mwamba Chanda during his testimony which saw the proceedings extended into the evening as it included a rare site visit to Chibolele Combined School, Nkwazi Primary School and Mr Mulenga’s former command centre at the closed section of Sheila Dare Road in Northrise areas where alleged violence occurred.

After the visits, Mr Mulenga faced continued cross-examination by Ngoza Zimba of Messrs Magubbwi and Associates until after 18:00 hours, before ECZ Returning Officer Frederick Musonda gave his closing testimony at 19:35 hours.

The petitioner will file submissions on 16th October, while the respondents on 23rd October, ahead of judgment on 27th November 2026
