Cristiano Ronaldo is stepping into Hollywood
The football icon is set to executive produce and appear in Day 1s, a new scripted TV drama that explores the high-pressure world of elite football agents. The series stars Homeland actor Damian Lewis as Stanley Dalton, a fictional British agent navigating blockbuster transfers, negotiations and the business behind the beautiful game.
The project is being directed by Kingsman filmmaker Matthew Vaughn and is the first series from Marv Studios, the production company founded by Vaughn and Ronaldo. Football legend Thierry Henry, rapper Dave and newcomer Carlotta Banat are also set to appear, with filming already underway in London.
A release date and streaming platform haven’t been announced yet, but with Ronaldo making his scripted acting debut and some major names involved behind the scenes, it’s already shaping up to be one of football’s most intriguing TV projects.
