Zambia Daily Mail Limited has issued a public apology to the nation for leaving out a picture of the late former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu from its feature marking Zambia’s 62nd Independence Anniversary, published on Friday, 23 October 2026.
In the notice, the company said the omission “was entirely unintentional” and offered an “unreserved apology to the nation.”
It said management “regards this lapse with the seriousness it deserves, and the matter is being handled administratively.”
