DON’T VOTE FOR UPND, THEY BEAT ME SAYS GENERAL KANENE.
Musician Clifford Ndimba, popularly known as General Kanene, has appealed to Zambians not to vote for the United Party for National Development (UPND) and President Hakainde Hichilema in the August 13 General Elections.
General Kanene says he was badly beaten by suspected UPND supporters, an experience he claims has convinced him that the ruling party is too violent to deserve another vote.
He says those who support him and sympathise with him should consider other political options instead of voting for UPND.
The musician further claims that the former Patriotic Front administration was not as violent as the current UPND government.
“Their President has been telling them not to be violent, but they beat me badly. These guys are violent. I have more than 500 supporters, and all of them will not vote for them because they beat me up. This violence has never been seen before. Bapaisa ticket because of their violent nature,” he said.
General Kanene has urged Zambians to reject UPND and President Hichilema at the polls, alleging that the party has become increasingly violent.
“My appeal to all Zambians is that they should not vote for UPND and Hakainde Hichilema because the party is very violent,” he said.
