Unexpected caller appeared on my phone and I was bewildered. I composed myself and picked the call:
“Hello….😮”
Hello, responded the deep voice but certainly not the President.
“BaTayali, you are a public lawyer of the public court, so you should be helping in giving the correct information and put things in perspective for the benefit of the general public.”, stated the strange caller.
“Yes, of course, but unless you people in the high offices give us that correct information…..”, I retorted.
“You see….you are talking about those vehicles which were seized by the Task force…….”, the conservation continued but I will not disclose ALL the details for now.
However, the caller explained to me how the vehicles came in the Country and who is behind them.
The caller went on to express displeasure about a number of utterances and writings by various people which include Dr. Sishuwa.
“………for example Dr. Sishuwa, he is busy writing negatives about this regime and directly attacking the President in a bid to draw his attention when he submitted his CV to be appointed as Political Advisor”. revealed the caller.
“That’s like blackmailing the President and he will never get a job from this President because he doesn’t fall for cheap malice spread in the media.
We have claimed to be angels and we have made mistakes in a few issues here and there, but those who have been with us to know how to engage not using emotions
If he (Sishuwa) means well…., he would have engaged us, he has our numbers, including that of the President.”, suggested the caller.
“Before he was busy sending text messages complaining of how he was badly treated by President Lungu’s govt, but now he wants to come out like this Govt is worse than that of President Lungu ” complained my caller.
“What people should know is that, the President will not be coerced or blackmailed into giving people jobs because they are attacking him.”, stated the caller.
The caller told me many other things especially on President Lungu and his “Holier than Thou” attitude, when he should be silent and enjoy his retirement other than stirring up the hornet’s nest.
I will discuss some of the points raised in my 20:00hrs live broadcast. I advise the PF and all those advisers of President Lungu to stay tuned.
