EGYPTIAN PRESIDENT REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR CHINA’S POSITION ON TAIWAN

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has reaffirmed Cairo’s support for China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, declaring that Taiwan is an inseparable part of the territory of the People’s Republic of China.

“We support China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the Egyptian president said, stressing Egypt’s backing for Beijing’s position on the Taiwan issue.

The statement reflects Egypt’s continued adherence to the One-China principle, under which Beijing considers Taiwan part of its territory, while Taiwan maintains its own government and rejects Beijing’s sovereignty claims.
