Emmanuel Mulenga Meets Representatives of the British High Commission in Zambia

Tonse Pamodzi Alliance Ndola Central parliamentary candidate Emmanuel Mulenga, together with the party’s Ndola Mayoral Candidate Jones Kaliati, this morning engaged with representatives from the British High Commission in Zambia over concerns surrounding the electoral environment ahead of the August 2026 general elections.
The meeting, which was held this morning, was led by the First Secretary (Political) at the British High Commission and provided an opportunity for the opposition representatives to share their concerns regarding the conduct of the ongoing electoral campaigns.
Hon. Mulenga since the start of the campaigns has had incidents of political violence, including attacks affecting their campaign activities, and captured invasion at his command Centre in broad daylight but no arrests have been made till today. With the latest being yesterday where two people were stabbed.
The delegation noted the complaints and concerns by the Resolute party top provincial leaders.
Hon. Mulenga thanked the British High Commission representatives for providing a platform to discuss issues affecting the electoral process and for allowing them to share their views on the current political environment.
The August 2026 general elections are expected to attract participation from multiple political parties, with stakeholders repeatedly calling for peaceful campaigns and adherence to democratic principles.
