Erdogan Warns Israel: “Turkey Will Not Run From War”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Turkey is focused on peace, but warned that Ankara would respond if it were attacked.
“We are not talking about war; we are talking about peace. But if someone is going to attack Turkey for war and not peace, Turkey will not hesitate to fight that war and will not run from it.”
Erdoğan added:
“I say this with complete clarity and frankness.”
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between Turkey and Israel over the wider regional conflict.
