EXPLOSIONS IN VLADIMIR—YANDEX DATA CENTER REPORTEDLY HIT AGAIN
Earlier, we reported powerful explosions and flashes across Russia’s Vladimir region without identifying the target. Emerging reports now indicate that the explosions occurred near the Yandex data center—the same facility struck only days ago.
Videos recorded by residents show several powerful detonations. Some monitoring channels suggest that missiles may have been used alongside drones, but this remains unconfirmed. The intensity of the explosions could also have resulted from larger drone warheads or secondary detonations inside the complex.
The data center lies approximately 600 kilometers from Ukraine’s nearest border and around 180 kilometers east of Moscow, deep inside Russia’s central rear.
The facility was initially struck on October 11, damaging its infrastructure and forcing Yandex to suspend operations completely. If tonight’s repeat attack is confirmed, it may have been intended to destroy surviving equipment, interrupt repairs and prevent the facility from returning to service.
This is not simply another temporary internet disruption. Yandex’s data centers support cloud computing, navigation, payments, taxis, deliveries and numerous businesses across Russia.
Vladimir was already struggling to recover from the first strike. Tonight, the explosions returned.
