Filmmaker recounts challenges with editing, missed communication and repeated delays as he apologises to disappointed fans and vows to learn from the experience.
Zambian filmmaker Wycliffe Mwamba has emotionally recounted the behind-the-scenes challenges that disrupted the premiere of his movie, The Pawn, explaining how a series of setbacks involving the editing process contributed to delays that left some fans disappointed.
Speaking during a live video on social media, Mwamba narrated how his original editor had to leave the project after receiving a scholarship to study abroad.
Rather than preventing the young man from pursuing the opportunity, Mwamba said he encouraged him to follow his dreams, leaving the production team with the difficult task of finding a replacement.
