For 62 years, Tanzania and Egypt have built a historic relationship and strong partnership.
The State Visit of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to Tanzania today is a testament to that enduring relationship and our shared commitment to strengthening it for the benefit of our people, in line with the vision of our founding leaders.
Egypt is among the largest investors in Tanzania. Today, we agreed to further deepen cooperation in strategic sectors, including trade and investment, agriculture, transport, health, education, and energy. As a first step, our two countries have signed two cooperation agreements, and we will launch a Business Forum to promote opportunities and shared prosperity.
I have directed our ministers and technical experts to ensure that all the agreements we have reached are fully implemented and delivered on time. Our citizens want to see the tangible benefits of these agreements reflected in their daily lives.
