FORMER RWANDAN SOLDIER AND KAGAME CRITIC BURIED WITHOUT HIS HEAD IN UGANDA
A FORMER Rwandan soldier and outspoken critic of President Paul Kagame has been buried in Uganda without his head, following a gruesome killing that has raised disturbing questions about the circumstances surrounding his death.
Sergeant Major Robert Kabera, 50, was laid to rest on Wednesday after his decapitated body was reportedly discovered on October 17, 2026, in a eucalyptus plantation in Luwala, Kamengo, Mpigi District, Uganda.
His head remains missing.
Kabera, who previously served in the Rwandan military, was known for his criticism of President Kagame’s government.
The brutal nature of his killing has raised questions about whether he was targeted because of his political views, although authorities have not established any connection between his criticism of the Rwandan government and his death.
The identity of those responsible remains unknown, and investigators have yet to establish a motive for the killing.
Family members were left to bury Kabera without his head, bringing a painful end to his life while leaving many questions unanswered.
The killing has drawn attention to the safety of Rwandan government critics living outside their home country.
However, there is currently no confirmed evidence linking the Rwandan government or any political actors to Kabera’s murder.
As investigations continue, the biggest questions remain: Who killed Robert Kabera, why was he targeted, and what happened to his head?
