BREAKING: Fox News poll shows Trump stuck near his record-low approval as Democrats’ midterm odds soar

Fox News anchor Bret Baier revealed that only 24 percent of voters rate the economy under Trump as “excellent or good,” while 76 percent call it “only fair or poor.” His response: “That has got to have Republicans, Senate and House, concerned.”

Fox’s chief political analyst Brit Hume agreed on air: “There’s not much good news for Republicans in this whole poll we did. Underwater on the economy, underwater on affordability, those two issues are front and center, for sure. Everywhere you look, Republicans are down.”

That’s Fox News. Not CNN. Not MSNBC. Fox.

The numbers behind that admission are brutal. Trump’s job approval sits at 39 percent, just one point above his record low, and it’s been stuck there for three straight months. He’s net-negative on immigration, inflation, the economy, and Iran, the exact issues he ran on fixing. Republicans only led on two questions in the entire poll, national security and crime, and even those margins were thin.

Seventy percent of voters said Republicans are closely tied to the interests of elites, compared to 55 percent who say the same about Democrats. A separate poll from Strength in Numbers/Verasight found 46 percent of Americans now rate Trump’s mental sharpness as “poor,” and 51 percent blame him directly for rising gas prices tied to his war on Iran.

And the political fallout is already showing up in the forecasts. The prediction market Kalshi now gives Democrats an 83 percent chance of retaking the House and a 44 percent chance of flipping the Senate, up dramatically from just 18 percent when Trump was sworn in.

When Fox News itself is telling its own audience there’s no good news, that’s not spin. That’s the floor giving out.
