France Criticizes Trump Over Calls for Zelensky to Leave Power
Former French Prime Minister François Bayrou has criticized U.S. President Donald Trump over his reported calls for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be removed from power.
Bayrou defended Zelensky, arguing that the Ukrainian leader is fighting for the freedom of Europe and the wider world. He also condemned what he described as Trump’s mockery of the Ukrainian president.
“Our responsibility as citizens is to denounce this. Shame on Trump!” Bayrou reportedly declared.
