🇿🇲 BRIEFING | M’membe Questions Mundubile’s Candidature Ahead of Polls
Socialist Party president Fred M’membe has questioned the suitability of NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile to lead Zambia, arguing that his record in government does not demonstrate the capacity to govern the country effectively.
Speaking Tuesday in an interview, M’membe said voters should carefully examine the backgrounds and performance of those seeking the presidency, citing Mundubile’s tenure as Northern Province minister under the Patriotic Front (PF) administration.
“You have seen the performance of those people when they were in government. Why did you kick them out? Have they gone through the purification process over the last five years?” M’membe said.
The Socialist Party leader argued that Mundubile was part of the PF government that Zambians voted out of office in the 2021 general election, adding that former leaders should demonstrate meaningful change before asking for another opportunity to govern.
M’membe also criticised what he described as growing political defections ahead of the August 13 polls, saying the trend reflects a decline in principled politics. He urged voters to support leaders with integrity, consistency and a clear vision for the country’s future.

And for sure, just after 5 years of being out of power, having lost elections in 2021 ,What has Changed ?, Especially ,much more so,Mundubile,is being surrounded,by the very same people ,and known Faces ,that surrounded,Captured and manipulated,, Edgar LUNGU, and made Him loose the 2021, Polls..
People like, Mumbi Phiri,
Davies Mwila, Zumani Zimba ,and the List is Endless,
And,to make matters ,worse,Mundubile himself,by his words of mouth ,and uncoordinated pronouncements ,has complicated his image,and standing,
In One, minute, He will rule ,like,ECL,after a backlash, He changes,,He warns of firing Civil Servants ,again He changes
The Only Pronouncement, He hasnt changed,is the burial ,of LUNGU ,If and When He wins the elections,
But,
What ,He has not,indicated,,to the Zambians is what will happen to Lungu’s body if He looses the 13th August, polls
So, the Skepticisms and Questions Fred Mmembe is asking needs to be answered, definately , this Nation can never,bequeth power to a clueles and vissionless Leader ,especially with and against the background of the PF,past,misrule,at the back of many Zambian’s Mind.
