BREAKING: Future Patriot Missiles for Ukraine Likely to Be Produced in Germany

Future Patriot interceptor missiles intended for Ukraine are expected to be manufactured in Germany or another European country rather than in Ukraine, according to a Reuters report. The move is aimed at ensuring production takes place in a safer environment before any potential transfer of manufacturing to Ukraine after the war.

However, deliveries are not expected anytime soon. Germany, which is establishing a domestic production line for PAC-2 Patriot missiles, is not expected to produce its first missiles until early 2027, roughly three years after reaching an agreement with U.S. defense company Raytheon.

Discussions on producing the more advanced PAC-3 interceptor missiles have not yet resulted in an agreement.

During a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ankara, U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington could authorize Ukraine to manufacture Patriot missiles under a U.S. license, signaling possible long-term expansion of Ukraine’s domestic defense industry.
