GOVT UNVEILS PROPOSED K284.8 BILLION 2027 NATIONAL BUDGET
Government has unveiled a proposed K284.8 billion 2027 National Budget, with K233.7 billion, representing 82 percent of the total expenditure, expected to be financed through domestic revenues.
Presenting the budget in Parliament this afternoon, Finance and National Planning Minister Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane said the remaining funds will come from domestic and external borrowing amounting to K41.9 billion, while K9.2 billion will be sourced from grants
Dr. Musokotwane said K90.5 billion, representing 31.8 percent of the budget, has been allocated to General Public Services, including K67.6 billion for debt servicing, K4.7 billion for dismantling arrears and K1.7 billion for the digitalization of government services.
