HH HAS DONE IT AGAIN – AMERICA BOWED, ZAMBIA SIGNED $1.5 BILLION ON OUR OWN TERMS!

My fellow Zambians,
Today is a very good day for mother Zambia.
Today, 8th October 2026, Zambia has officially signed the $1.5 Billion health pact with the United States of America. And for the first time in our history, it is Zambia that dictated the terms, not America. That is what we call leadership.
I have been reading nonsense since morning. People like JJ Banda, Emmanuel Mwamba and Lilly Mutambo are all over saying “HH has sold Zambia.” Bane, sold Zambia how?
Let me tell you the truth they will never tell you, because they are sponsored to rubbish.
1.THE DANGEROUS CLAUSE THAT HH REMOVED
Do you know what America brought in the first draft?
They wanted Zambia to be sharing our blood samples, our medical specimens, and the private health data of every Zambian within 5 days whenever America asks. And then America would give that data to 10 American private companies to make drugs.
Ghana refused. Zimbabwe refused. Namibia refused. And they lost the money.
What did President HH do? He did not refuse, he NEGOTIATED. For months, our Health Minister Prof. Roma Chilengi refused to sign. Negotiations stalled. And today, America has REMOVED that clause completely.
Health Minister Chilengi said it himself today: “The Government will not be sharing any specimens with the United States because we removed all those aspects that raised concerns.”
Tell me, which President in the history of Zambia has ever told America to remove a clause and America obeyed? Only Hakainde Hichilema!
If this was PF, they would have signed in the night and sold us. Remember how they signed $17 billion debt in secret?
2.NO COPPER, NO CRITICAL MINERALS IN THIS DEAL
The second lie by the opposition is that HH has given our copper for health money.
Today at the signing ceremony in Lusaka, our Foreign Affairs Minister Mulambo Haimbe was very clear: “There was this MOU on health and another on critical minerals, and we were saying that these need to be decoupled, and this has been done.”
Decoupled means SEPARATED!
The $1.5 Billion health deal is signed today. The minerals deal is still being negotiated separately. If America wants our copper, let them bring factories, let them bring jobs through the Lobito Corridor, not through backdoor of health.
In fact, just two days ago on 6th October, President HH was challenging Zambia, Angola and DRC to turn the Lobito Corridor into a jobs engine. He said let the mines along Luacano-Chingola bring business. That is how you negotiate minerals — with jobs, not aid.
That is true sovereignty! True sovereignty is not shouting Pan-African slogans on TikTok Live, true sovereignty is sitting with Donald Trump’s government and telling them NO and they respect you.
3.WHAT THIS MONEY WILL DO FOR PEOPLE IN KAOMA
This is where I get disgusted with Emmanuel Mwamba and his friends.
This deal is $1.5 Billion from America plus $2.1 Billion from our own government. Total $3.6 Billion over 5 years.
With that money, this government will recruit 40,000 health workers — 15,000 frontline, 25,000 community health workers. It will fix ZAMMSA after America complained about drug theft. Remember PF cadres were stealing drugs and America withdrew $50 million last year? HH fired all 150 workers at ZAMMSA and reformed it. Now America trusts us again.
This money will save our mothers in Kaoma, Shangombo, Chama who walk 20km to find Panadol. When did saving lives become selling the country?
And on top of that, today our power capacity has hit 4,722MW, almost double our peak demand of 2,400MW. Solar alone has moved from 178MW in 2024 to 1,027MW today. The President said at the Energy Forum for Africa, transmission is now the problem, not generation.
Under PF, we had 12 hours load shedding. Today HH has produced double power Zambia needs. His target is 10,000MW by 2031 under Grow Zambia Agenda.
4.TO MY FELLOW YOUTHS
You will hear that HH has been chained to foreign aid. But let me ask you: Where was Emmanuel mwamba when PF chained Zambia to Eurobond? Where was he when retirees were sleeping at Ministry of Finance for their money?
Today HH restructured that debt, paid retirees, introduced free education for 2.6 million children, and that free education is now LAW under the new Constitution. And now he brings $1.5 Billion free without giving away a single mine.
That is why I defend this government with my bundles in Kaoma. Not for a job. But for mother Zambia. Because if we don’t defend, JJ Banda and Mwamba who are sponsored with talk-time will lie to the nation.
Tomorrow President HH will open Parliament on 9th October and set direction for Grow Zambia. Let us listen to jobs, not lies.
