HH HAS INSTRUCTED POLICE TO LOCK ME UP – KAMBWILI

Opposition PF presidential candidate Chishimba Kambwili has accused President Hakainde Hichilema (HH) of having instructed the Police to lock him up.

And Kambwili has revealed that President Hichilema has called him twice threatening him of being arrested.

Kambwili in a live address this evening on his Facebook page monitored by Zambian Eye said the police were looking for him today.

He said the police has a call out for him but didn’t find him at home for him to report at the Police Headquarters tomorrow.

Kambwili said President Hichilema is now using the police to intimidate his political opponent. He said the police are under instructions to arrest him and keep him in custody without taking him to court just like Chilufya Tayali.

The PF Vocal leader says President Hichilema is accusing him of promoting tribalism. He revealed that President Hichilema telephones him Friday night but he missed his call. He explained that President Hichilema then left a message on his phone that he hopes he knows that promoting tribalism is a crime.

Kambwili explained that he then telephoned President Hichilema challenged him to explain on his allegations in a telephone call that last for 45 minutes. He said President Hichilema referred to Simon Mwewa’s video where he was accusing Kambwili of promoting tribalism.

He said he explained to President Hichilema that he had actually condemned the people that were chanting tribal remarks when they visited his house. He challenged the President to watch the footage.

Kambwili said at the end President Hichilema agreed that it was a misunderstanding. This was after President Hichilema also brought the run upto 2021 elections campaign where he accused Kambwili of having campaigning against voting for a Tonga person for the presidency.

He said he explained that what he was campaigning against was the voting pattern of the people of Southern province.

Kambwili he was today surprised that the Police were after him saying it was clear they were under instructions from President Hichilema.

He said the first time President Hichilema telephoned him and threatened that he would in problems he may fail to come out over his stance on AFRICOM.

Kambwili said it is clear President Hichilema was trying to intimidate him. He vowed to never to stop talking and dared the police to arrest him.

He said he had been arrested over 16 times and at one time jailed for 18 days. He said he was ready to meet Hichilema in court.
