IT’S NOT WORTH IT!
When I heard the Inspector-General of Police warning against disrupting the planned inauguration of Hakainde Hichilema, my immediate thought was, “It’s not worth it”.
First, it’s extremely hard and rightly so to believe any claims that come out of the mouths of any public official associated with this government because of the way they conducted themselves over this electoral season.
They have abducted, they have arrested, they have lied, they have cowardly closed the courts and they have killed.
They have lost the moral authority to govern. They have lost all legitimacy. And they have lost the respect they once commanded.
Under these circumstances, no person in their right frame of mind would want to disrupt their inauguration ceremony. It’s simply not worth it.
“A state that frightens its people with force has already lost the argument it is making”, says Martin Kalungu-Banda.
This is how this government has lost a good portion of the Zambian people. Morally, Hichilema will remain a lame duck for a President.
Every time he is seen anywhere, wherever his portrait hangs and whenever his voice is heard, it ll be a reminder of a man with a deeply questionable mandate.
The best response to the inauguration of such a man is to give him the peace he doesn’t deserve. Use the Biblical directive of turning the other cheek.
Hichilema has given us terror and death these past few days, let’s give him serenity. This is who we are as Zambians. He found us in this condition. He is trying hard to provoke us to justify his reign of blood and terror.
But as Zambians, let’s deny him the justification to take more lives and stamp on more freedoms.
Where do we even get the energy to spend on the inauguration when some of us are still weak and exhausted following the brutal murder of Brian’s bodyguard, Banda, and Mutotwe Kafwaya?
It ll take us months, if not years, to recover. So, while you are celebrating your victory, we ll be at the funeral homes of the Banda and Kafwaya families where our energies must be spent.

Some of these former diplomats think that it is a status for pomp of authority. It is not a qualification where one becomes more inteligent.
This is foolish from Kellys how dare you think for all Zambians…?? “This is who we are as Zambians.” My dear you are on your own hallucinating big time through the media.

Are you for real… to be honest it’s you Kaunda who have lost your relevance to talk anything substantial. Just keep on dreaming while the train controlled by the best of Presidents (HH) keeps on turning the wheels moving in the direction that the majority Zambians want to go. Go your way and nobody cares.
Ba Kellys, it is going to be a long five years.
