HH PLEDGES FIVE-YEAR PSV LICENCE RENEWAL PERIOD AFTER ELECTIONS.

President Hakainde Hichilema has announced plans to amend the law governing Public Service Vehicle (PSV) driver licenses to allow renewals every five years.
President Hichilema says when his administration assumed office in 2021, PSV drivers were required to renew their licenses annually.
Speaking when he addressed thousands of Katuba residents, The Head of State noted that the renewal period was later extended to three years under his government.
He has however pledged that, if re-elected, his administration will further extend the renewal period to five years after the general elections.
President Hichilema says the proposed change will reduce the financial burden on PSV drivers, allowing them to save more money for personal investments, including building homes and improving their families’ livelihoods.
