HH SUPPORTED FOR PLACING ZAMBIA – CONGO DR ON EMERGENCY STATUS

Governance and Development Advocates Zambia has welcomed the move by President Hakainde Hichilema to place Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo on emergency status.

This is in order to speed up the non stop boarder post Construction namely Kasumbalesa, Kipushi, Mokambo and Sakanya borders respectively.

Elias Mulenga who is the executive Director noted that the move by President Hakainde Hichilema will restore sanity and improve on the security of the two nations upon the completion of the works at the boarders.

Mr Mulenga said the visit by the Head of State on the Copperbelt Province was beneficial as among other things he addressed the issues of Konkola copper mines and Mopani Copper Mines which issues gives the people of Copperbelt Province sleepless nights

Mr Mulenga has observed with gratitude over the manner in which the Republican President has addressed the concerns of the mining suppliers and contractors who held round table talks to address their concerns

Mulenga has emphasised that the four Councils along Chingola Kasumbalesa Road delivers as per Presidential directive and ensure that public interest is protected by providing water, portable toilets and bathrooms.

Mr Mulenga further said President Hakainde Hichilema’s Government is committed in developing the country as he strides to ease the congestion along Chingola Kasumbalesa Road which will see goods and passengers transportation woes come to an end.
