HH TO WIN AUGUST POLLS, VJ PREDICTS AFTER NATIONWIDE ASSESSMENT.
Veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga (VJ) says President Hakainde Hichilema is on course to win the August 2026 General Elections, citing information he has gathered from districts across Zambia.
According to, Mr. Mwaanga his assessment is based on research and feedback he has collected from various parts of the country ahead of the polls.
The veteran statesman, who says he has accurately predicted every Zambian general election since the country’s return to multi-party democracy in 1991, expressed confidence that this year’s election will produce another victory for President Hichilema.
Mwaanga said the information available to him indicates that the ruling party remains in a strong position nationally and that he does not expect any major developments in the remaining campaign period to significantly alter his prediction.
“With all the information i have before hand, I can tell you that President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND will win the August General Elections.” he said.
“I have been assessing elections since Zambia gained its independence, and based on assessments done countrywide, I can confidentially say UPND is winning” he said.
