HH’S OFFSIDE; TRUTH ABOUT THE MALANJI CASE EMERGES
…the $11million hoax…
● In 2019, Government announced that it had secured a $20 million mortgage financing program to purchase, rehabilitate, and construct properties for its diplomatic missions abroad.
● The missions to benefit from the program included new Missions in Canberra, Australia and Ankara, Italy.
●Earmarked for rehabilitation were Ambassadors and Chancery buildings in South Africa, Germany and Washington.
The Ankara Project
● To this effect, Government bought a real estate, a chancery building, for the Zambian Mission in Ankara, Turkey
●In December, 2020, Government sent $6.8million as part-payment to the project. The payment was made to the Vendor’s lawyers; Burhan Asaf Safak.
● In July, 2021 months after Parliament was dissolved, and Joseph Malanji was no longer Minister, Government sent $2 million.
● In October 2021, Government (the new Government) cancelled and revised the purchase of the houses but finalised the sale of the Chancery Building at the cost of $8 million.
● Total payments; US$8million.
● Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) Director General Nason Banda, therefore lied and committed perjury that $11million was sent to Ankara (when Government paid $8million to the vendor) and claimed that $11million was collected by Malanji and repatriated to Zambia through a presidential plane.
● In June 2025 the Public Accounts Committee insoected the the newly purchased chancery building. They expressed concern that the building required further refurbishment to meet Turkish regulations, a matter that has added more costs for the government.
●It must be noted that during this period, the Gulfstream G650 (AF 001) was the designated Presidential plane. The Bombardier Challenger, 9J One was no longer a presidential plane.
● During this period, Ministers used it for presidential duties such as Davies Chama and Stephen Kampyongo who were assigned to travel to Lilongwe on June 28,2020 for the inauguration of President Lazarus Chakwera.
●Malanji was assigned and used the Challenger to attend the inauguration of Namibian President, Hage Geingob in March 2020.
● Former President Rupiah Banda frequently used the plane during the pandemic and airspace shutdown, to attend to medical treatment to Dubai, United Arab Emirate.
● The plane was also used for duties to Tanzania, Isreal and Turkey.
● The announcement yesterday by President Hakainde Hichilema that he worked hard to send former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jospeh Malanji to Jail by calling President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, President Emerson Mnangagwa and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, to secure witnesses and reposses his Helicopters makes sad reading.
● President Hichilema also repeated the lie of $11million and clearly abused his powers and acted as Prosecutor, Jury and Judge to send his bitter political adversary
You can twist the narrative until a monkey comes out of yowa arse, but a thief will still remain a thief. The courts have the final say and criminals are being locked up.
It is good that the sworn and completely unrepentant enemies of the people continue to declare and document themselves for posterity to see. Please continue openly supporting stealing from the people. It is little wonder that you are a fugitive.
Separating facts from illusion, HH was not in court when Malanji had a chance to explain himself, HH did not write the Judgement for Malanji, the only thing that HH did was to facilitate the process that Malanji can be left free if found innocent and be sent to jail if found guilty. Right now HH is facilitating the use of government resources that have been in malanji’s hands for far too long. Imagine if half of the budget is in 6 individuals hands and the court cases delay for years, how is the country supposed to run? It can’t run on imaginary figures. HH pls do more of this, people are celebrating Ibrahim from Bukina Faso because he dictates some of the straight forward issues pls HH do the same.
Please. Mwamba get a life. Instead of clearing your name in court in the assult matter you want to raise what with us?
Mwamba the problem people like you and Sangwa want to vilify yourselves here like we are the courts. Why not use the institutions that sentence you and your peers to argue your case. Running away like a coward isnt going to solve your court case. Be a man.
In my comment on this issue earlier, I equally failed to see where the USD 11 Million was coming from. I even asked bloggers who might have seen the judgement to explain where the USD 11 Million was coming from. No one answered.
What I saw was USD 6.8Million..from which part was legally used at the Embassy as per evidence presented in court.
Again I ask, where did the USD 11 Million come from, which Hon Joe Malanji withdrew over the counter from the Zambian Embassy Account in Turkey?
The evidence adduced in court never talked about USD 11Million.
I never get carried away with Propaganda which is the lifeline of this government. I usually remove the propaganda chaff away and then focus on the core issue. Something wasn’t adding up in Hon Joe Malanji ‘ s case.
I will look at what Ambassador Emmanuel Mwamba is saying and again be able to make an independent judgement on what he has presented.
Am happy that some one sane out there, in the name of Ambassador Emmanuel Mwamba, also saw that something was amiss in this case.

We all know the shenanigans that were going on during the PF misrule. The defacto PF policy was “uubomba mwibala alya mwibala” propagated by no other than the aba kasaka ka ndalama, Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu himself.
No amont of sanitising can change that. So ba Emmanuel “Goebbels” Mwamba, you can send your version of events to Mr. Malanji’s lawyer for submission to the courts since he has appealed the conviction and sentence.
It would be great to see all thieves convicted and locked up. Of course no thief will admit that he stole.
Ba ambassador. Spin doctor at work. Its shows Mwamba has no heart for Zambians. Can we surely tolerate blatant looting of our resources while majority Zambians are living in abject poverty??

Mwamba we are not fools. You present figures on how much was sent but fail to mention how the price was inflated so that these guys can pocket the change using the presidential plane and VIP passport to bring back the excess in cash.
