BREAKING HOUTHIS CLAIM CONTROL OF BAB EL-MANDEB
Iran-aligned Houthi forces have reportedly captured Perim (Mayun) Island and the coastal town of Dhubab, giving them a strategically important position near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
The development, if confirmed, could significantly increase the Houthis’ ability to monitor, threaten or disrupt maritime traffic through one of the world’s most important shipping chokepoints, linking the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden.
