I sometimes think the Tonga should tell all politicians to stop dragging them into their battles.
It used to be Kambwili making them the target of his vitriol, against HH!
Now, it’s President Hichilema making them an extension of himself. Making very unthought through remarks in Choma, yesterday, and also during the Bill 7 battle.
Kamubaleka bantu ndakomba.
Bene bake bamanzikalila, suffering the same issues everyone does. What has being Tonga done for any villager in Choma under UPND, that is different from anyone else?
Engage with communities in Southern Province, and they have the same issues as every where else – CDF loans going only to party cadres, never seeing their MPs.
Let them live in quietude, please. Fight your political battles – uko.
Imwe, you are living the good protected life then wanting to put innocent people in the spotlight.
Ivo, Kateks, simuza chita.

The Chief Tribalist at it!
Once a Tribalist always a Tribalist
Tongas have loyalty for each other don’t take it as an abuse.Am not sure what you are trying to say madam Miti.Your thinking on this one madam you have fallen far short of it .They believe in HH and they have hope in the man.Its a parent and child relationship. You are a mother and you know what am about ba Miti
When you hear the current president talking politics, it is then that you will realize that he has no message for the people, all his massages have gone stale because he and his people have already sung them to sterility. So now what is he going to say during campaign? free education – we have heard that already, CDF – we have heard that already, Loan repayments – we have heard that already. Now in panic mode he has resorted to telling the people of Southern about being beaten upon stepping foot at intercity. Is that the new message, okey if southern is being told that, what will he tell the rest of the country because he has to campaign country wide as well. When I heard Kaunda straggling to remember the only person who would divide the nation and remembered him positively, I thought it was old age, but now I believe he knew what he was talking about and it is now becoming clear. People must know what to say to the masses, the mouth if not tamed can be destructive. What is he trying to plant in the minds of the people of Southern province????
HH’s mouth is sometimes his biggest opposition. He gets carried away with trivials at times which dilutes his economic gains which are slowly going to better the lives of ordinary Zambians. Most Zambians are tired of the same old story of free education, end of cadre violence blur blur..all they want to hear is when they will they get some relief from the current high cost of living amidst economic green shoots celebrations. Kwamana, not CDF & the rest of the stuck record rhetoric
Are you not the ones who have been singing ati, he has not done anything? He is merely trying to remind you lest you forget. Your friends in the opposition, what is the message? Tembo fighting Lubinda, Kambwili against Mundubule, and so on. Bambi ku Kuwayawaya fye.
NO ONE will forget the torture and torment people experienced at the hands of the cadres at Inter City.
Go sit down, you’re not making any sense Laura, I don’t know what sishupu sishupu called you
The issue discrimination and marginalization during pf reign was real. I am a victim of it. Enthnicity was a prequisite for recruitment and promotion in govt especially in the Ministry of Education, health and govt departments. Many people are aware about this but they are pretanders because it benefited them. For example, fisp on bank of Kafue river (Kafue district) farmers were getting 8 bags while the other side only 3 bags (Southern). Who can explain this discrepancy other than calling it a discrimination. UPND has not gone into this it values everyone regardless of his enthnicity.
If the President indeed made such comments to the effect that Tongas would be beaten if they stepped on Intercity bus terminus in Lusaka if he lost the elections, it is very sad.
Much as we acknowledge the active discrimination against certain regions (not just Tongas) during the PF regime, the President must NEVER use that as an election campaign strategy. It is cheap.
Fact is, the presidency won’t remain in Southern province in perpetuity. After him, someone else who is not from Southern province will take over power. Then what? How is he going to “protect” them? Iam disappointed with HH for uttering such divisive remarks and engaging in fear mongering.
We voted for you, Mr. President, not so you can protect those from Sourthern province, but to clean up the mess left by the PF. Focus on that. PF was a nightmare for all of us not just people from Southern province.
If you dont have a family to rely on in your political career, that is your own problem. Leave HH alone to enjoy his differentiated unwavering support from his Tonga family. If he went to tell Tongas not to vote for other tribes that wud be a different thing, a bad thing but did not say that. It seems you are just envying him with jealous for his overwhelming supportive family he has from southern province. Its natural, its not sin. You cant compare that with Kambwili who was telling his tribemates not to vote for a Tonga, but one from their region. That was tribalism. He shud just be encouraging his tribemates to vote for him, and rightly take advantage of natural family support. Natural, thats what i mean. Natural support. Nobody manufactures this support, its just natural. Its family. It is your first line of support before any from elsewhere. So if you have it you have it. Let no one fault you based on it. If you dont have you dont have it. Its not yr fault but dont be jealous of others. Laura Miti says it right and faily all the time but on this one please do a rethink
